On April 19, 1988, Simi was born into the household of Mr & Mrs. Ogunleye as the only female child and the last born among four children.
She was born in the hood of Ojuelegba in the Surulere LGA of Lagos State. Simi was also brought up in the same hood. But when she was at the age of 9 her parent divorced.
Simi is originally a native of Ondo State which is one of the six states in the South-Western region of Nigeria.
She was trained and brought up by her mother and always show her passion for music during her kid days.
The renowned singer is a BA degree holder. During her childhood days, she went to Stars International College in Ikorodu, Lagos State and later proceeded to Covenant University to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication.
