Sadly, we might not get to see the Boondocks air ever again, the powerful message the show passes, the joy, the comedy, the laughter, and the truth it speaks.
The Boondocks is an American anime created by Aaron McGruder for CN (Cartoon Network) it is based on the comic that was first published before the anime began airing. The series started on November 6, 2005. It focuses on the dysfunctional family of the Freeman, a black family who settled into the predominantly white suburb of Woodcrest.

The fun fact is that the two of the main characters Huey and his brother Riley were actually voiced by the same voice actor in the person of Regina King, she also did the narration of the show in Huey’s voice. How intriguing and amazing it is to go back and forth between those two characters who never seem to be on the same page, the transition between the two characters is so smooth and flawless.

However the series ended on June 23, 2014 with a total of 4 seasons and 55 episodes. The production was halted a bit when Grandad’s voice actor John Witherspoon died on October 29, 2019. It was later revealed that the development of the series had been cancelled.
